After 16 years of a hectic "city life" in Vancouver, Kris returned to Vancouver Island with her husband to raise their two young daughters and re-discover her roots in the Cowichan Valley where she was born and raised.
"I feel really blessed to call the Cowichan Valley "home" again and proud that my daughters are able to do the same. I'm constantly inspired by our rich Island landscapes, diverse community of people and feel passionate about the growing envrironmental challenges that we face locally and globally. Coming back to the Island has been an incredible experience for our family. The Valley is enriched with a variety of talented artists that are extremely supportive to one another and who are embraced by the local community of people and businesses."
Kris works full time from her studio in the Cowichan Valley. She also teaches art classes to kids and adults as well as being involved in various art programs on Vancouver Island. Her work hangs in private and corporate collections throughout Canada.
